This painting was inspired by a pilgrimage that visited St Francis holy places in Assisi, Italy in 2017. 
The pilgrimage served as a turning point in my life, prompting deep introspection and reevaluation.
I created this painting to reflect St Francis's simple and joyful spirit. The simplicity comes from his profound sense of connection with nature. The warm sunlight enveloping his form reflects his inner peace and joy. And his bird companion speaks to his compassion and reverence for all life.
