Supporting the Widows of Vrindavan

This fundraising campaign is complete.

I am happy to share that I was able to raise $3000 to support the widows of Vrindavan.

I went to Vrindavan, India in Sept 2022

There were many interesting and powerful experiences I had, and Vrindavan was a very special one. I had heard about the Yogananda trust and their work with the widows there but had no idea what to expect.

They never saw me as a stranger from a foreign country

When I met the widows in Vrindavan, the first thing that was very surprising for me was how friendly and full of love they were toward me.

The staff at the trust is very dedicated, and it was very sweet to watch the loving interactions between the staff and widows.

Despite their hardships, many exuded joy

When I heard some of the stories of the widows, I was deeply moved. I could not believe how someone could be abandoned by their own family at that age. It was very unsettling for me to think about that.

Yet, it was a joy to see the widows be so happy and loving in spite of their difficult past.

Every dollar from this art sale will go directly to the trust

Art is how I speak and I wanted to support the widows in some way through my art. I had the inspiration to sell some of my original artworks at heavily discounted prices to support the trust.
